Akropoli metro station
Akropoli metro station (Acropoli) is on Athens Metro Line 2.
It opened on 16 November 2000 as part of the Dafni extension, and is the nearest station to the Acropolis Museum and the eastern entrance to the Acropolis of Athens. The station has a ticket office and three automatic ticket machines. The station is decorated by huge posters of Melina Merkouri and reproductions of the Elgin Marbles of Parthenon. There are two entrances / exits to the station. One in Makrigianni street and one in Athanasiou Diakou street.
